Anhydrous Ammonia Nurse Tank Testing

Testing Equipment
All testing equipment has been calibrated using standards traceable to the National Institute of standard and Technology (NIST).

Test Provided
Wagner’s Welding provides DOT certified Anhydrous Ammonia Nurse Tank Testing. The test consists of three phases. Each phase must pass in order for the tank to pass. If a tank passes it will need to be tested again in five years. If it fails it cannot be used as  a pressure vessel. Phases include:

Visual
The visual Phase consists of visually checking for bulges, dents, gouges, corroded/abraded areas.

Thickness
Test completed using ultrasonic testing equipment at the recommended locations on the tank.

Hydro Test
Tanks are required to be filled with water and hydro tested at 375 PSI for a minimum of 10 minutes. This ensures the integrity of the tank.
